Welcome to our Province Website
The Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ, a religious order of priests and brothers in the Catholic Church, seeks to remind people of the love of God which we see in the Passion of Jesus and to respond with love to those who suffer today. The Passionist communities in Ireland and Scotland, together with an English-speaking parish community in Paris, form the Province of St Patrick. We hope this site will help you to get to know us better.
Passionists keep alive the memory of Christ’s Passion through their service of others, especially those who suffer. We preach parish missions and give retreats to bring the message of the Passion to God’s people. We work in parishes, building up the local community in the areas where we live. Our communities are available to people for the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and for spiritual counselling. We are involved in chaplaincies, in the academic world, in publishing and the media.
