Message for the Feast of St Paul of the Cross

In this 150th anniversary year of the Canonisation of St Paul of the Cross, Fr Joachim Rego CP, Superior General, writes: As we commemorate the feast of St Paul of the Cross in this year which marks the 150th anniversary of his canonization, we are encouraged by the living spirit of this Saint who keeps challenging us to follow the call to holiness which he found in the memory of the Passion of Jesus – “the shortest way to perfection”. We acknowledge and celebrate the holiness of Paul Danei who discovered the secret to true life and the way to God’s compassionate and merciful heart – “the pearl of great price” – in the Passion of Jesus: “the greatest and most overwhelming work of God’s love.”
